Who I Am
Karen Gallagher, Ph.D., CCc-slp
Dr. Karen Gallagher has been practicing speech and language pathology for more than two decades. Through her clinical practice and doctoral work she gained high-level expertise in cognitive-communication disorders, such as those related to stroke or traumatic brain injury. As a U.S. Army combat veteran and a 2016 Tillman Scholar, her research has focused on service-related conditions in military veterans. Dr. Gallagher's clinical work targets cognitive communication skills in adults and adolescents. She offers online speech therapy services. She has also trained SLPs through teaching and supervision at two universities and through her written work, including a textbook chapter and peer-reviewed publications.
